Project overview

Replace manual current checks with continuous digital records

The customer needed automatic current monitoring across 12 welding machines at four factory locations. Measurements had to be stored on a mini PC and shared with the company’s ERP partner for further analysis.

Customer Challenge

  • Monitor 12 welding machines with currents up to 600 A.
  • Distribute acquisition equipment across four factory locations.
  • Use stable wired Ethernet communication on the production floor.
  • Store measured values automatically as CSV files.
  • Provide accessible records for ERP and production analysis.

PnP IoTs Solution

PnP IoTs installed industrial current sensors, SB0-42 interfaces and four PD-AMS-S8 wired-Ethernet RTUs. AutoSave collects the measurements on a mini PC and creates standard CSV files that can be used by the customer and its ERP company.

How it works

From field measurement to usable records

STEP 01MeasureCurrent sensors measure welding-machine current.
STEP 02ConvertSB0-42 interfaces convert the industrial sensor signals.
STEP 03CollectFour Ethernet RTUs gather data across the factory.
STEP 04StoreAutoSave creates CSV files on the mini PC.
STEP 05AnalyzeERP and production systems use the recorded current data.
