Energy & Gas Injection Facility Monitoring
Industrial 4–20mA sensor signals converted into digital monitoring data and delivered to an external server through a compact RTU system.

Make existing industrial signals visible and usable
The gas management facility needed a practical way to collect differential-pressure data, confirm communication status and transfer field values to its own server without replacing existing sensors or safety equipment.
Customer Challenge
- Collect differential-pressure sensor values from the gas management facility.
- Convert standard 4–20mA industrial current signals into digital data.
- Transfer values and communication status to an external server.
- Keep field installation and server programming flexible for customer integration.
PnP IoTs Solution
PnP IoTs supplied a PD-AWS-P8 RTU and five SB0-420 input modules and provided integration consulting. The modules convert industrial sensor signals, while the RTU collects the values and sends them to the customer’s server over Wi-Fi and TCP/IP.
From field measurement to usable records
Hardware and communication architecture
| Item | Configuration | Role |
|---|---|---|
| RTU | PD-AWS-P8 × 1 | Collects module data and transfers it to the server. |
| 4–20mA Input Module | SB0-420 × 5 | Receives analog current signals from industrial sensors. |
| Pressure Sensor Interface | GXPS500PD | Provides differential-pressure signal data. |
| Communication | Wi-Fi / TCP-IP | Uploads values and communication status to the external server. |
Installation context and monitoring architecture

- Differential-pressure sensor — outputs a standard 4–20mA measurement signal.
- SB0-420 input module — converts the analog current signal into digital data.
- PD-AWS-P8 RTU — collects sensor values and communication status.
- Wi-Fi access point and internet — transfer the collected data to the external server.
- Customer server and dashboard — monitor, store and use the facility data.
Designed for integration with existing facilities
The monitoring layer can be added alongside existing gas sensors, alarm panels and control equipment. This reduces replacement work while making important field signals visible, recordable and available for remote checking.
Collect standard industrial signals without redesigning the entire site.
Review facility values before dispatching personnel to the field.
Identify abnormal values or communication issues earlier.
Use accumulated data for inspection and maintenance planning.
Extend to pressure, flow, valve, level, PLC or Modbus data.
